GEOWEB® for Slope and Channel Stabilization

Several channels connected to BMP ponds experienced severe erosion at Rochambeau. This was mostly attributed to the sandy soil that was easily dislodged during major rain events. After check dams and rolled erosion control blankets failed to slow the flow and stop erosion, GEOWEB® geocell was installed to stabilize the soil.

GEOWEB confined the sandy soil to prevent movement and erosion. The cellular confinement system was infilled with soil, covered with a Coconut Erosion Control Blanket and seeded for permanent vegetation.
