HDPE Pipe Fittings for Corrugated Drainage Pipe
HDPE Pipe Fittings connect sections of HDPE corrugated drainage pipe. There are many different types of HDPE fittings including couplers, elbows, reducers and end caps. HDPE couplers create a sealed joint between two sections of HDPE pipe. Elbows, wyes, and tees connect multiple pieces of corrugated drainage pipe and allow the pipe to bend in different directions.
Types of HDPE Pipe Fittings
HDPE Fittings are manufactured for Single Wall and Double Wall HDPE Pipe. Your fitting options include Single Wall, Double Wall, Injection Molded, Band Couplers and Flared End Sections.
Single Wall HDPE Fittings
Single Wall Fittings connected Single Wall Corrugated Pipe.
These soil tight fittings are made from durable HDPE plastic and are manufactured to fit Single Wall HDPE Pipe up to 8” in diameter.
Injection Molded HDPE Fittings
Injection Molded Fittings connect small diameter Double Wall Corrugated Pipe and Single Wall Corrugated Pipe.
Injection Molded Fittings have a smooth finish because they are made from a single mold. These fittings are manufactured from durable HDPE plastic and fit pipes up to 12” in diameter. HDPE Injection Molded Fittings are available in soil-tight and water-tight connections.
Double Wall HDPE Fittings
Double Wall Fittings connect Double Wall Corrugated Pipe.
These fittings are made from durable HDPE plastic and are manufactured to fit Double Wall HDPE Pipe up to 60” in diameter. Double Wall fittings are available in soil-tight and water-tight connections.
HDPE Band Coupler
HDPE Band Couplers connect Corrugated Pipe and HDPE Fittings to create a strong, leak resistant joint.
Band Couplers are also known as Split Couplers. Split Couplers connect two sticks of HDPE Pipe and HDPE pipe to an HDPE Fitting.
HDPE Band Couplers are available in sizes 8″ – 60″
HDPE Flared End Section
HDPE Flared End Sections funnel water into pipe at inlets. They also improve hydraulics and prevent scour from heavy outflow from culverts and drainage outlets.
The HDPE Flared End Section is durable, long-lasting and resistant to corrosion and abrasion.
HDPE End Sections are available in sizes 12″ – 48″. Larger End Sections are available in CMP which are also compatible with HDPE pipe.
Fitting FAQs
What is HDPE?
HDPE stands for high density polyethylene which is a thermoplastic derived from petroleum. HDPE is a tough but flexible plastic that is used to manufacture a wide range of products.
What type of pipe is compatible with HDPE Fittings?
HDPE Fittings connect HDPE Corrugated Drainage Pipe, also known as Culvert Pipe. Single Wall Fittings are compatible with Single Wall HDPE Pipe and Double Wall Fittings are compatible with Double Wall Pipe. Injection Molded Fittings are compatible with Double Wall Pipe, but some customers prefer these fittings even for their Single Wall Pipe because the single injection mold is stronger.
Can I use an HDPE fitting to connect PVC and HDPE Pipe?
A MarMac coupler connect HDPE and PVC Pipe. Inquire with our sales team if you require a MarMac coupler.
How many Band Coupler do I need for my pipe?
You need a Band Coupler (also known as a Split Coupler) for every opening when connecting pipe and fittings. For example, if you are connect a stick of HDPE Double Wall Solid Pipe to a HDPE Wye, you need three Band Couplers for that connection. To connect two sticks of Double Wall Solid HDPE Pipe, you need just one Band Coupler.
