About the Project

The I-95 Express Lanes Fredericksburg Extension (FredEx) was constructed by design-build joint venture team Branch Civil and Flatiron and managed by the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT). This public-private project extended ten miles of 95 Express Lanes in northern Virginia, adding two reversible high-occupancy toll lanes and access points to connect with new I-95 travel lanes in Fredericksburg.
