Our Story

Family Owned and Operated Since 1988

Colonial Construction Materials, Inc. was founded by Timothy Branin in 1988. Equipped with a few trucks and a small installation crew, Tim and his team started supplying and installing geotextiles and erosion control products to contractors in Virginia.

Over time, Colonial Construction Materials expanded to meet the demands of an evolving industry. In response, Colonial vertically integrated operations and began manufacturing site work products. Distribution expanded into new regions including the Caribbean and northeast to Pennsylvania.

Today, Colonial operates from our headquarters in Oilville, Virginia and a branch location in Virginia Beach. The 40,000 square foot Oilville facility includes manufacturing capabilities, a 6-acre yard and a pole barn for storage.
